Those of you that have been following me know that our pediatrician suggested we give the babies peanut butter three times a week. You also know that I’ve been determined to make the delivery of said peanut butter as mess free as possible. So on today’s peanut butter adventures, I give you Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies. We recently took the babies to their 1 year check up. Among other things, the doctor told us to give them peanut butter 3 times a week. I needed a way to do this without all of the mess. So I used the idea behind the carrot coconut bites to make a chocolate chip peanut butter bites recipe. Continue reading “Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Bites”
The past week has been a whirling dervish of activity. The babies turned 1 on Wednesday and I just couldn’t contain my excitement. So much so that I made green Ninja Turtle Mac n Cheese. Continue reading “Ninja Turtle Mac n Cheese”
As the babies eat more and more solid food I’ve been looking for recipes that are healthy, high in protein and good fats. But I needed something that was quick and not stressful. These No Bake Carrot Coconut Bites are the perfect snack for these growing boys. Continue reading “No Bake Carrot Coconut Bites”
I’ll admit it, I’m a carb-aholic. Whenever I get in a mood, I always want chips or bread. Bread with pepperoni and cheese, bread with pasta, I really don’t care. I just really like carbs. I didn’t intend on writing this post but the mini turkey meatloaf I made for April Fool’s Day were so delicious I had to post the recipe. Yes, I’m using a lean meat but it’s still as comforting as ever.
Yum, this chocolate zucchini bread is even more delicious than I remember. When I was pregnant with our oldest I was lucky enough to have a friend make me a chocolate zucchini bread. I had never had it before and it was so tasty. It was exactly what a pregnant me needed and wanted. This chocolate zucchini bread remix was made for the babies so it contains no cow’s milk and no eggs.
Valentine’s day is coming and we’re making white chocolate cranberry hearts. Yay, chocolate. We try to teach our littles that gifts should come from the heart. It should show people you are thinking about them. So, for valentine’s day (and other holidays) we make our gifts with our hands and from our hearts.
I’m not a football fan but this weekend is the Super Bowl and it’s always nice to have a snack. So for game day I’m making baked parmesan zucchini chips. Potato chips are a must have at any party. But since hubby and I have been working on getting this baby weight off, I thought zucchini chips would be slightly healthier to munch and crunch on.
The blend of sweet corn and potatoes in corn chowder is irresistible. It’s an ode to another time in my life. College. And one dish that reminds me of the blistering cold weather in Maine. There are few things better to break the cold than a good New England chowder.
