Family dinner was perfect partially thanks to this French roasted chicken. It was just as savory and delicious as I could have hoped. The skin was crispy and the chicken was moist. Though it wasn’t made in a sheet pan, this would be a perfect sheet pan dinner. Sheet pan dinners are all the rave and I can understand why. What’s better than dirtying only one pot?
One of my favorite things to do (other than cooking) is to have dinner parties. And last week at our French inspired family dinner, this French Chocolate Cake was the star of the show. What made it even more wonderful was that making the cake was easier than I thought it would be.
The first time I had French food was in Quebec, Canada on a trip with the international club. There I was, in a French speaking city not knowing a lick of French. Luckily, I was with a bunch of people that spoke French and so I was in very good hands. One night for dinner, I ordered Boeuf Bourguignon also known as Beef Burgundy. There are so many aspects of this dish that I love. The rich layers of flavor, the tenderness of the beef. It’s an extremely hearty dish that’s like a nice warm hug.
I love a good quiche, and this Spinach Quiche Lorraine is one of my favorites. German in origin, this eggy, cheesy dish is loved by all. Though Quiche Lorraine is considered a classic French dish, I’ve put my own spin on it by adding spinach (gotta get those veggies in). Continue reading “Spinach Quiche Lorraine”
If you’ve been following on instagram you know I recently took a knife skills class. This crab stuffed shrimp with beurre blanc was a result of that class. Though that was not the point of the class. It was a wonderful consequence.
