It was one of those days I was in the mood for shrimp. But not just any shrimp dish. Something comforting and warm. If you know me you’re saying “Of course, that’s how she decides what she’s making”. I think it’s the result of lots of interactions with people from high school. High school always reminds me of delicious Italian food. Creamy Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo was the dish of choice.
Only time I went to fancy restaurants with my friends was when I was a teenager. This is typically a dish I would not make. Hubby has worn the alfredo crown since we’ve been together but I’ve been dying for this dish. I needed to whip something up quickly before my son’s game and shrimp is always quick to cook so it was the perfect solution.
This dish only takes about 20 minutes to make but believe me it pulls no punches on flavor. I love the creaminess the cream cheese gives this dish. I decided to put it in because a while back I was talking to a lady in the grocery store and she said she puts cream cheese in her alfredo. And since right now we are swimming in cream cheese (lots of cream cheese frosting for cakes)
