Garlic Parmesan Roasted Asparagus

This tasty Garlic Parmesan Roasted Asparagus recipe is quick and easy to make. More importantly it’s unbelievably delicious.

I’m in love with this garlic parmesan roasted asparagus recipe. Actually, making this reminded me how much I love asparagus. And here’s the funny thing, I used to hate asparagus. To me it was always slimy and not very tasty. That was until I tasted perfectly roasted asparagus. Yum. Now, I don’t eat asparagus any other way.

It’s actually been a constant conversation lately. All food is delicious, if it is prepared properly. So, here’s a perfect way to make asparagus so that it’s delicious and nutritious. Yeah, I said it nutritious. Comfort food is good and good for you (most of the time).

You only need three things to make delicious asparagus. Asparagus, salt and olive oil. That’s it. Roasting intensifies the flavor of asparagus. Of course, I like layers of flavor so I added a couple of other ingredients to this asparagus recipe. Yum garlic and parmesan. I know, I know. You can thank me later.

Roasting for 10 to 15 minutes in a single layer allows the asparagus to remain crisp. Vegetables don’t take long to cook. And over cooking it decreases the nutritional value. I also like a little bite to my asparagus. No limp asparagus here. But do make sure you cut off the woody stem part of the asparagus because that isn’t very tasty no matter how long you cook it.

Garlic Parmesan Roasted Asparagus

Makes 6 -8 servings


  • 1 pound asparagus
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Tools: baking sheet


Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Cut off woody stems from asparagus.

Place asparagus on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.

Generously sprinkle asparagus with garlic powder, sea salt, pepper and parmesan cheese.

Roll asparagus in to make sure it’s completely coated.

Lay asparagus into a single layer (if you want it nice a crispy).

Roast 10 to 15 minutes.
