I’m so excited to share this Stovetop Mac and Cheese Recipe with you. My family is from the South
and there’s nothing better than a delicious gooey mac and cheese recipe. But if you were raised in a Southern family there is a specific way you are supposed it make your mac and cheese. It requires elbow macaronis, a large rectangular pan, cheese, eggs and about 35 minutes of baking. And though I love some homestyle Southern mac and cheese, I don’t always have time to make it.

What’s the next best thing? Stovetop mac and cheese. It takes about 20 to 25 minutes to make and it’s so delicious. Now, I know it sometimes seems a bit easier to just make the mac n cheese in the blue box. But don’t do it. I know it’s just 3 dollars but I promise this version is so much better and healthier.

Once, I figure this recipe out stovetop Mac and Cheese became a staple in our house. Who doesn;t love a quick and easy meal that’s delicious. Especially, on the littles love. When I make it I make the whole box so I can send it to school in their Thermos for lunch the next day. They are always excited to have Mac and Cheese for lunch and the thermos keeps it warm so it’s still gooey.

To be honest, we actually have it for dinner too. If you need more than mac and cheese for dinner you might want to have it with chicken fingers or mini meatloaf.

Recipe notes: Prep all ingredients before starting. Shred cheese hand (pre-shredded cheese is coasted to starch to keep it separate).

Love to serve Mac and Cheese with peas or broccoli. It’s so delicious and tasty you can even hide veggies in it and no one will care. Well most people won’t care.
